Planning application now submitted

The planning application has now been submitted for Phase One of Speirs Locks Student Campus – the first new build project to be presented as part of Glasgow City Council’s Speirs Locks Masterplan Adopted Framework.

The application follows a positive public consultation meeting on 11th October 2012 at which local residents and business neighbours alike were invited to have their say on the proposed 100,000 sq. ft. campus project that will help address the current shortfall in superior student accommodation across Glasgow.

Reflecting the ever-changing profile of the city’s students, Phase One of Speirs Locks Student Campus will deliver 235 student rooms – a mix of single and shared accommodation in cluster flats – alongside amenity provision such as exhibition and workshop space, and on-site pastoral care.

Phase Two will provide additional single accommodation, along with postgraduate and family accommodation.
